Each weekend thereafter until official opening on June 27

⚠️ Swimming is NOT permitted until June 27.

Important Beach ID & Chair Permit Rules

  • Renters: Must present a valid lease to prevent IDs from being issued to non-residents.
  • Chair Storage Permits: Issued when you obtain your Beach ID. Limit of 4 chairs per family due to limited space.
  • Beach Access: Gate attendants will not allow anyone onto the beach without a valid ID. Violators are subject to fines.
  • Unauthorized Chairs: Any chairs found in the chair facility without a permit will be immediately removed and placed in the yard next to Village Hall.
  • Guests: 6 guests permitted per household per day. Guests must be accompanied by the resident or sign the guest book at the beach house.

Please cooperate and obtain Beach IDs and permits early to avoid inconvenience.

LOCAL LAW
Article II – Use of Park Property at Beaches §65-4 (Prohibited Acts)

No person shall be in physical possession of a lighted cigarette, cigar, or pipe on boardwalk or beach areas.

BOARDWALK RULES
No motor-driven vehicle (electric or gas) is permitted on the boardwalk at any time.

VEHICLES & ALCOHOL ON BEACH/BOARDWALK
Alcoholic beverages and all motor vehicles are prohibited from the beach and boardwalk at all times.

RECKLESS WATERCRAFT (JET SKIS, WATER SCOOTERS)

CONSTRUCTION & POWER EQUIPMENT SUMMER RESTRICTIONS
No work permitted on weekends (Friday before Memorial Day through 2nd
weekend after Labor Day)

All Other Times of Year

  • No work earlier than: 8:00 AM (weekdays) / 9:00 AM (Saturday)
  • No work later than: 6:00 PM (any day)
  • Sunday: Prohibited year-round
  • Legal holidays: No work permitted

Gardeners
May do planting only on weekends (Memorial Day through Labor Day)

GARAGE & TAG SALES
Permit required – file with the Village Clerk at least 10 days prior to the first sale day.

RESIDENTIAL OCCUPANCY RULES

  • One-family occupancy only – all dwellings, premises, homes, houses, and apartments.
  • Group homes are NOT permitted.
  • Violation: Fines to owner, tenant, and/or real estate broker.

Transient Occupancy Prohibited (Local Law 5-2015)

  • Rentals less than 30 days are prohibited (Airbnb, Home Away, etc.)
  • Penalties: Suspension of Certificate of Occupancy + $5,000 per day civil penalty on
    owner. 

EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS – HURRICANES
Hurricane Season: June 1 – November 30 (most vulnerable: mid-August to early November)

Before a Watch or Warning

  • Check emergency equipment & supplies (several days' worth)
  • Obtain materials to secure your home
  • Keep gas in your car

2026 Closing of Beaches

Monday, Labor Day, September 7th will conclude our beach season. After this date, beaches are unprotected by lifeguards, and no bathing will be permitted. Please remove all items from the beach houses no later than 6:00 PM on Labor Day, September 7th.
